Hasan Kozan,  M.S.O.M., L.Ac.

Hasan Kozan is a nationally board certified Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist since 2007.  He holds a Master of Oriental Science degree from the Southwest Acupuncture College and a Civil Engineering degree from the State University of New York in Buffalo.  He has a Diplomat in Oriental Medicine and is licensed in the state of Colorado.

While working on his degree Hasan started his apprenticeship with Jeffrey Dann–a master of Japanese style acupuncture with over 35 years of experience–to study Traditional Japanese Acupuncture and Moxibustion.   During his intensive collaboration with Jeffrey, Hasan has traveled to Turkey to assist in teaching acupuncture to MDs and work in a rural clinic.  In the summer of 2008, Hasan traveled to Japan to further his skills in Traditional Japanese Acupuncture and Moxibustion.  There, with Jeffrey Dann and Stephen Brown, he had the rare chance to study with such top masters as Shudo Denmi (insert photo) and Pediatric Shonishin specialist Tanioka Sensei of Osaka at their private clinics.

Hasan has also trained with Michael Young in the field of Auricular Acupuncture. Currently, he co-instructs in Auricular and other Japanese treatment modalities, and in point location with Whit Reeves at Southwest Acupuncture College.  Auricular Acupuncture allows direct access into the various regions of the brain and is extremely effective in calming the nervous system to treat pain, insomnia, drug withdrawal, stress, hormone imbalances, mental disorders and detox. Hasan continues to work in collaboration with Jeffrey Dann at Aloha Wellness, where he focuses mainly on the perfection of his specialized techniques.   His style of acupuncture is very gentle and palpation based.
